What’s This About?
SolvingDesign is an article and blog based site created 500 years from now. We figured there is no reason for you to wait 500 years so we time traveled way back to the year 2007 to create this website in the hope that a little bit of info may be useful to those interested in computer graphics and design. We know what you are thinking… If this content is from the future then why are all the articles based on the current software of the year 2007 and why not put all the articles on the site at once rather than from time to time? Those are all good questions. All we can say is that in the future, our actions will be obvious.
The Author
David Charney has been a designer and developer since high school - where he came to the realization that he was not very good at Math, Science, History, and English (ignore my grammatical errors on this site). He attended Purdue University for Computer Graphics Technology where he began developing his skills in design, Flash development, video production, and programming. He has worked at several design and interactive based studios developing projects for companies such as Porsche, Johnson & Johnson, Motorola, iBot, and Zimmer, and in 2005 he co-founded Illumen Group, a company that explores visual solutions. As Chief Creative Officer at Illumen, Dave spends his time managing quality, usability, technology, and the overall user experiences for each project (and sometimes playing Unreal Tournament with the gang).
He likes: to draw, eat flavor ice, grand theft auto, the ladies, the beatles, mountain dew, being outside, steak, traveling, the internets…
He dislikes: spiders. I hate spiders.
